WARNING - Only watch this video if you are sitting down and have a bucket near as the quality is rather poor. I have stayed at this particular DoubleTree honestly 20+ times over the last year and have gotten to know the staff rather well. Every time I check-in they know to expect the question "Can I get an upgrade...pleeeeeaaase?" It was to the point that they would tell me before I even spoke that they got me the best room they could. I always give them a hard time, but all in fun. The fact is that the project I'm on that leads me to Modesto has come to an end, and I explained to the front desk, that this was the time to cash in on an ultimate upgrade. They actually went to the Hotel manager and begged him to let me stay in the Presidential Suite...the BEST room they have...This room runs $850/night. When I came to the hotel on my last night to stay, they said "we have a surprise for you". What a nice little surprise...
